IT Support Blog – Windows and Cisco Technologies

Useful IT support for Windows and network administrators

There are two parts to this site:

  1.   A mixture of solutions to common (mainly) windows support problems found on the Web, modified by personal experience. As it’s a WordPress site, it should be searchable in Google and might help other frustrated technical support people.  Feel free to comment.
  2. Study notes for Cisco’s ICND 1 and ICND2 exams, along with (possibly) useful workshops on configuring routers and switches, using a mixture of Packet Tracer and GNS3.

To find all material for each exam, search for ICND1 or ICND2.  There is also a Cisco starter guide for anyone who has never seen a Cisco router before.

Most IT support technicians find that it’s impossible to remember how to solve every problem and the only way to avoid wasting huge amounts of time is to document every fix that works, because if something goes wrong once, it is sure to do so again, somewhere else!
