  1. OSI stack
  2. TCP/IP v4 in depth.
  3. TCP/IP v6 overview
  4. Basics of Cisco IOS, including how and where the configuration is stored, backup and restore, setting up passwords, telnet, etc.
  5. Layer 2 switching. VLANs, including VTP, dot1q, and inter VLAN switching.
  6. Spanning Tree Protocol
  7. Static routing.
  8. Dynamic routing: RIP version 1 and 2 and the differences between them.
  9. Dynamic routing: EIGRP – configuring, commands and load balancing.
  10. Dynamic routing: OSPF
  11. Cisco SDM (overview)
  12. LAN technologies: DHCP, DNS, NAT, ACLs
  13. WAN interfaces
  14. PPP
  15. Frame Relay
